Our Winter Update: Seasons Greetings from Tailored Films!

As we approach the end of 2021, we look back on the last year with tremendous gratitude for all those who made our achievements this year possible. Despite the continuing uncertainty of the pandemic, we successfully filmed 2 x Christmas specials of ‘Ace My Space’, 1 x large scale series ‘Der Irland Krimi’ (to wrap in January 2022), 1 EBU-funded short film, and countless digital projects for our new and existing loyal clients. Not bad for the year that was in it!

Here are some more recent updates on our current projects:

Night Town Promo

Tailored traveled down to Killadoon House in Celbridge, Co. Kildare earlier this month to shoot a proof of concept for our upcoming gothic historical thriller ‘Night Town’. ‘Night Town’ is written by our talented longtime collaborator David Turpin (‘The Lodgers’, ‘The Winter Lake’) and is set to be directed by award-winning director Imogen Murphy (‘Dead Still’, ‘Can’t Cope, Won’t Cope’).

Despite the challenge of shooting in a historical building, our assistant development and digital producer Eoin put together a fantastic 1-day shoot and we now hope to launch the project next year with a view to shooting in 2023.

Der Irland Krimi

That’s (mostly!) a wrap on ‘Der Irland Krimi’, with only two more days of filming left in the new year after an eight-week long shoot in Galway. ‘Der Irland Krimi’ is a German language crime series starring Désirée Nosbusch, ‘Better Call Saul’ star Rainer Bock and a plethora of German and Irish talent. Keep your eyes peeled next year when it graces your screens.

Ace My Space - Festive Edition!

‘Ace My Space’ will be returning for two Christmas Specials this week on RTÉ, airing at 5:25PM today December 22nd and at the same time tomorrow on Thursday December 23rd!

For the first time ever, YouTubers Sean and MC are stepping away from bedroom redesign and spreading some festive cheer to a community deserving of a merry makeover! Equipped with lights, garlands and a whole lot of tinsel, Sean and MC recruit their team of elves to help the youths at two local community centres transform disused rooms into supreme ‘chill out’ zones just in time for Santa’s sleigh. Join Sean and MC as they take on their biggest challenge yet – will all their Christmases come at once or will the new designs get a frosty reception?

Creative Futures

We received some wonderful news from Screen Ireland earlier this week to kick off the Christmas period! We are thrilled to announce we are one of the few companies to be awarded the prestigious ‘Creative Futures Fund’, an initiative designed to support creative ambition, develop talent, and enable businesses with increased opportunity and growth. It’s no secret our development slate is steadily moving at a faster pace and this important fund ensures we can take full advantage of this period of growth with both hands. We are hugely looking forward to starting the process in the New Year. 2022 already looks like it’s off to a great start!
